Special Announcements

Hi there everyone! I hope your spring has been wonderful so far and you get to get outside to enjoy some sunshine. It’s the perfect time to clean up your yard before it gets too hot. If you’re struggling to get your lawn mowed or your weeds under control we have some teens looking to make a little money if you need some help. We will be sending out covenant violations due to overgrown weeds soon so please address this situation. I do not want to impose a fine on anyone in the neighborhood however several yards are out of compliance and will receive a fine if you won’t take care of it. Let us know if you need help!! I am trying to help beautify our neighborhood not make a revenue off of some fines.

Neighborhood board meeting will be Saturday April 13th at 10am. We as a neighborhood have several things to discuss. We will need volunteers to install our new playground when it arrives. We’ll be going over the budget for this year and the floor will be open for questions regarding our new collection policy. We will begin implementing the collection policy soon and you will receive a late fee if your dues are not paid. We have over $9,000 due on dues and I simply can not get our bills paid and our irrigation water lines going if these dues aren’t paid.

Our treasurer Teresa Woodworth has moved to Arizona so we are needing to vote in a new treasurer. Teresa has graciously offered to help me with invoices, etc but we need someone to step in so our subdivision remains in compliance. Please consider volunteering to help!

My husband Mark and my son in law Josh will be at the park this Saturday the 6th to get the area ready for our new playground. He has a backhoe and a dump truck and said he’d love some help if anyone is available. Please come over around 9am if you’re able.

Park cleanup is scheduled for the 20th of April. We have many things that need addressed and we need you to volunteer!! Please come help get the park, basketball court and the pavilion cleaned ups we can enjoy them for the summer. Bids will be accepted for park, pool and irrigation positions. These are paid positions so if you are interested let me know.

Speaking of our neighborhood our HOA yard sale/ bake sale/ silent auction will be May 17 and 18th!! I need help setting up Thursday May 16th and then I need volunteers to help manage the event on Friday and Saturday. We will be open 9-5 both days. Please step up and volunteer a few hours or bake some treats for the sale. I’m excited to see what we as a community can do together to replace our vandalized playground equipment. We as a group raised $4,000 last year so I’m hoping this year we will reach our goal. The pea gravel we need to be in compliance with Colorado state law is $2,000 so we still need to work on raising the rest of the funds. Any extra monies will be used to trim the trees in the park. Some of them have broken limbs and are a danger to everyone so this must get done.

There have been several complaints from homeowners regarding dogs running loose in the neighborhood and I know several of you have actually returned these animals to their yards only for them to get out again. If you are repeatedly encountering the same loose dogs please call animal control. Homeowners, your property line does not include the street in front of your house or your neighbor’s yard. Of course none of us want to see your pups hit by a car or lost so please address this immediately. Animal control can be extremely expensive and I’m sure we’d all rather avoid that expense. Please keep your dogs properly restrained in the future and make sure they have a tag so we can get them home. Also there is an excess of doggy poop at the park. If you are using the park for your pets and you are leaving behind dog poop and you are observed I will be issuing you a fine. Please help keep our park clean for the kids in our neighborhood and clean up after your dog. We will be providing poop bags for you to use or you can bring a bag from home.

I spoke to Amy with the Lateral 110 today and the canals are filling with water as we speak. We’ll let them flow a few days to get the gunk out but I’m hoping to have our irrigation water up and going early next week. Please make sure your water valves are closed to avoid flooding in your yard.

I’ve met some pretty amazing neighbors in the subdivision and I’m so thrilled with the overall excitement that I’m feeling from everyone to beautify our subdivision so we can once again feel a sense of pride and accomplishment from a job well down. Our park and our neighborhood is special and together we can do amazing things!

Please call or email me if I can help you with anything.

Sincerely,

Terrie Garner
